The largest and oldest national park in the Québec network, this territory of more than 1,500 km² spans three distinct sectors rich in lakes, rivers, and peaks, offering one of Québec's most popular canoe-camping experiences.
Distinct from the ski resort of the same name, Mont-Tremblant National Park encompasses a considerably vaster territory, stretching across the administrative boundary between the Laurentides and Lanaudière regions. The park is divided into three distinct access sectors, each with its own visitor center: the Diable sector, accessible from Lac-Supérieur and the most frequented due to its proximity to the ski resort, the Pimbina–Saint-Donat sector to the east, and the Assomption sector to the south, accessible from Saint-Côme in the neighboring Lanaudière region. This exceptional expanse, among the largest in Quebec's national parks network, shelters hundreds of lakes connected by a hydrographic network ideal for backcountry canoe camping, an activity for which the park is particularly renowned among outdoor enthusiasts seeking prolonged immersion in wilderness. The landscape, shaped by the glacial passage characteristic of the Canadian Shield, features rolling terrain dotted with waterfalls and rapids, offering an intriguing geological contrast with the more abrupt peaks that define the neighboring ski resort. Several shuttle and public transit services, including Navette Nature and D-Tour Tremblant, now facilitate access to the park from Montreal and the Mont-Tremblant village, responding to growing demand from visitors wishing to explore the park without relying on a personal vehicle.
