Massif du Sud Regional Park

Massif du Sud stands out in Quebec's ski resort landscape through a remarkable climate distinction: its geographic position generates a microclimate that deposits an average of 750 centimeters of snow each year—an exceptional accumulation that provides abundant natural snow conditions particularly sought after by powder enthusiasts. The ski domain comprises 35 runs of which 18 are groomed and 17 are tree-lined, complemented by four backcountry ski trails and a 120-acre undeveloped area called the 5th Dimension, offering experienced skiers a highly coveted off-piste playground. Beyond its winter appeal, the regional park features a year-round network of hiking trails, including the popular Rock Shelter Trail, which after a climb punctuated by ladders leads to remarkable rock formations nestled in the forest, offering spectacular views of the North Hills. The summit lookout of Mont Chocolat, accessible to hikers accompanied by their dogs, and the more challenging Grives Ridge Trail, traversing old-growth forest and crystalline rivers over 11.1 kilometers, round out a particularly rich outdoor offering, while Ziptopia—an adventure park combining rope bridges, tunnels and zip lines—adds an adventurous dimension appreciated by families during the summer season.
