An internationally renowned music and dance institution overlooking the St. Lawrence River from the heights of Saint-Irénée, the Domaine combines a training academy, an international festival, and a one-of-a-kind outdoor sculpture garden.
Over the decades, Domaine Forget de Charlevoix has risen to become one of Quebec's most respected musical and choreographic institutions, combining a threefold mission of training, artistic dissemination, and creation within an exceptional natural setting overlooking the Saint Lawrence River from the heights of Saint-Irénée, nestled between the villages of Baie-Saint-Paul and La Malbaie. The Domaine Forget Academy, the cornerstone of the institution's educational mission, offers some twenty intensive masterclasses each summer led by internationally renowned artist-teachers, attracting talented young musicians and dancers eager to refine their craft in an environment that is both demanding and inspiring. The Domaine Forget International Festival animates the concert hall in spring and autumn with programming featuring orchestras, soloists, jazz evenings, and dance performances, extending the institution's dissemination mission to a wider audience, while a more eclectic variety programming—including songs, comedy, and theater—further broadens the range of audiences reached by the institution. The Harmonic Garden, an outdoor walking route punctuated by 25 monumental sculptural works, offers a contemplative exploration of the grounds in the open air, while the Domaine's residential studios, equipped with functional kitchenettes and offering breathtaking views of the river, allow visitors to extend their stay at the very heart of this exceptional cultural destination.
