Autumn is without a doubt the most spectacular season in the Laurentians. From mid-September, the mixed forests begin their chromatic transformation, offering a natural tableau that draws thousands of visitors from around the world.
Mont-Tremblant National Park is one of the jewels of this season. Its 1,510 km² of wilderness are blanketed in blazing hues, visible from the many hiking trails that wind through the park. The panoramic gondola at Mont-Tremblant Village offers a breathtaking aerial view over this ocean of colour.
Further north, the Saint-Jovite and Labelle area offers secondary roads that are ideal for drives or cycling trips. Routes 117 and 327 are particularly renowned for their breathtaking autumn scenery.
For photography enthusiasts, sunrise over Lac Tremblant or Lac Mercier creates golden reflections of rare beauty. Plan to arrive early — and bring a hot coffee.
